The Story

My name is Brenda and I am the creative director behind Kuga Designs. My love of flowers came alive with a floral class I took at City College of San Francisco. I simply fell in love with the entire process. While in flower school I began to

chronicle my student designs and needed a name for my blogspot (Hello 2000's!). I chose a place holder name that was a mash up of my kid's names:

Kuba & Gaby = KuGa. I began to intern and freelance with high-end  floral studios in the Bay Area and soon began to book my own events. Kuga

blogspot turned in Kuga Designs and the rest is history! I attended the School of

Horticulture & Floristry from CCSF and also have a bachelors degree from the University of California Berkeley.(GO BEARS!)

The Style

My style is romantic with a modern twist. A little wild, but composed, beautifully bold and whimsical, yet classic enough to stand the test of time.

I create full, lush arrangements with lots of rich color and texture. I do enjoy classic design and tend to incorporate lots of texture into monochromatic bouquets when I get requests for a more subtle palette. I have studied different styles with masters and have freelanced with world-renown floral design  studios in the Bay Area to grow my own skill-set. My years of experience will shine through during our consultation. I have worked at premier venues in the Bay Area and have an eye for details, functionality, and strive to design beautiful bespoke creations to enhance your event.

The Mission

My goal is to blend my style with your vision to create a beautiful, memorable experience while being mindful of the budget. Color, style range, texture, and versatility empower us to elevate your brand and contribute to the success of your event. Creating collaborative partnerships with our clients, planners and colleagues to elevate & execute seamless events is our goal. We curate custom creations for one-of-a-kind events.
